OFFICE OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS - SEX OFFENDER UNIT
The Spalding County Sheriff's Office performs several duties
involving registered sex offenders and sexual predators living and
working in Spalding County. People who are convicted of certain
crimes are required to register with the Sheriff's Office of the
county in which they reside or are employed.
The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office ensures that any known sex offender that lives or works in the county registers with the Sheriff's Office within the allotted time frame required by Georgia law. We also check residences and employment locations of the sex offenders to ensure that they are in compliance with Georgia law.
REGISTRANT INFORMATION:
- Annual birthdate and bi-annual sex offender registration is available, without an appointment, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am until 11:30 am.
- Registration for offenders who are moving to Spalding from another jurisdiction is available without an appointment, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am until 11:30 am. Note: you will be required to remit a fee of $25.00 to cover publication of your conviction information in the local newspaper.
- Registration for new offenders, or those who are being released from prison/custody, is available without an appointment, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am until 11:30 am. Note: you will be required to remit a fee of $25.00 to cover publication of your conviction information in the local newspaper.
- Updates of registry information may be completed, without an appointment, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (excluding holidays).
